My first question is: Do Dye Removers take the dye out and put it back in the inventory or just take the color off out of the armor?

2nd question: Can you change your second profession more than once?

Dye remover only gets rid of the color of the dyed part of the armor and sets it to its basic look.

You can change your secondary profession unlimitedly.

To elaborate on Kha's answer. Once you use a dye, it's gone, never to be seen again, dye removers are simply like bleach, take that colored part and remove the color that was added to it. In some cases, this means the default color changes as certain pieces of equipment appear to come pre-dyed.
